These past few months have become more busy than expected due to unforeseen circumstances however I am back to shout out a few fun stuff I have been enjoying.
This app is a great way to ease back into reading if it has been awhile or rush into with reckless abandon and speed. It uses one’s local library card to access a wide variety of eBooks and audio books straight onto their phone. I am loving the easy to understand layout and process and has allowed me to read more because of it. Recently I have been using it to read fiction or history novels as my nonfiction reads are currently coming from my backlog of New Yorker magazines.
Another classic detective show like Colombo or Murder She Wrote though this one takes place in small villages of the UK. I am less than half way through the seasons (I have not met the replacement Barnaby yet). It contains a good balance of comedy and drama with the addition of other interesting elements. It has progressive characters that represent the LGBTQ+ community and has scandalous plots. Even when the characters switch (assisting sidekicks of the main detective Barnaby) it is seamless and viewers quickly embrace the DS. The scenery is beautiful and the cases are always unique. Recently I enjoyed an episode that held references and parallels to Hamlet and shared it with a friend who thoroughly enjoyed it (S:10 King’s Crystal).
I had watched online videos of WOD events but since the t.v show has come out I have really been watching and enjoying it. I like the format and intensity of the show as everyone is so talented. It holds up pretty well against So You Think You Can Dance as it has more pros and a different style of competition.
